Ridgeback history.
Founded in 1983 by Errol Drew, Ridgeback is the brand behind the introduction of mountain bikes in the UK. After a trip to the US, Drew saw real potential in these new offroad bikes and started importing some from America before producing his own. The Ridgeback brand was born.
Building on the success found with their mountain bikes Ridgeback continued innovating. With a focus on flat handlebar bicycles, Ridgeback created flat handlebar road bikes and fitted them for the first time with disc brakes.
Today the Ridgeback bikes collection includes a full range of bikes from urban, commuter bikes to everyday adventure ones. Little riders also get their share of the fun with Ridgebacks impressive kids bikes collection. Ridgeback bikes kids range includes all-time favourite bikes like the Ridgeback MX16 or the Ridgeback Dimension 24.

Ridgeback Adult Bikes
Ridgeback men's and ladies bikes are built with quality and value in mind.
A great example of it is their Ridgeback Speed Hybrid Bike. A fully equipped bike, the Speed is a lightweight bicycle with wide tyres for extra comfort and a durable Shimano drivetrain.
Testament to Ridgeback quality, the Genesis range created in 2001 soon took off and became its own brand in 2006. All of the Ridgeback bikes are designed with this quality and performance standard in mind. Not many brands can claim they started another company out of one of their products.
