Cycling bottles or bidons are a crucial bit of any cycling kit. However, not all bottles are made equal. At Eurocycles, we carry the best cycling water bottles. Our bottles are made with high-quality materials, BPA-free, and lightweight to help you keep hydrated while cycling.
What size are bike bottles?
Water bottles for bikes come in two main sizes. The 500 to 600ml bottles are perfect for short rides and leisure cycles. It might go without saying but if you are riding for long hours without coffee stops planned, go a little bigger with 750ml bottles. We'd even advise getting a second bottle cage and carrying an extra bottle on long hot cycling days; the last thing you want on a ride is becoming dehydrated. And if you are wondering what is best to drink while cycling, we'd recommend adding some electrolytes tablets to your water. Electrolytes tablets help you replenish essential salts and minerals lost during exercise.
What to look for when choosing a water bottle?
Weight: light bottles are the way to go for road cyclists looking to shed any extra weight possible. However, mountain bikers might prefer slightly more substantial bottles that can take a little more punishment than lighter ones.
Valve type and squishiness: there is nothing worth than fighting with your water bottle while riding. Bottles that are easy to squish and squirt water out of are the obvious choice here. The valve type will play a big role in this. Make sure you like the way it opens and closes.
BPA-free plastics: all our bottles are safe and 100% BPA-free for hours of healthy refreshments.
Flip off lid: if you are going to ride through the mud a lot, bottles with a cap covering the valve to keep it clean is a good option.
Leak free: all our bottles are leak-free, allowing to carry them on a bottle cage as well as in your backpack.
