At Eurocycles, we carry kid's bike wheels to replace worn-out or damaged ones or even upgrade for a better wheelset.
What are wheels for kid's bikes?
Kid's bike wheels are similar to adult ones but smaller. Sometimes, they are tailored with kids in mind with bright colours instead of plain metal.
How do I know what size wheel my kid's bike is?
An easy way to check this is to look for the sticker on the seat tube (the long one that the saddle seats onto). The label will have the size of the bike on it. Kids bikes are measured in wheel size, so the size on the label (12", 14", 16", 20", 24") is your wheel size. If there is no label on the frame, measure the wheel diameter in inches using the wheel's outer diameter with the tyre on the rim.
What are the small wheels on the side of a child's bike called?
The two wheels attached at the rear of some kids' bikes are called stabilisers or trainer wheels. They are useful to help your child get started on their cycling journey. If the bike you purchase does not come with it and you feel this would be beneficial, we carry a full selection of stabilisers and offer free fitting with bike purchase.
